Southlands College Scholarships and Bursaries

Sponsored by the Southlands Methodist Trust

Scholarships

Three separate scholarships are offered to students of the University of Roehampton as part of the celebrations to mark the 150th anniversary of the founding of Southlands College. Those in receipt of scholarships will be registered as Southlands College students (for commuting students, this can be arranged by the university; for residential students, this means an expectation to reside in Southlands College).

Southlands Teaching Scholars – Two scholarships will be awarded.  The amount available is £2,500 for each year of study, for up to four years.   This money will be awarded as a reduction in fees and is intended to help students with general living costs.

Southlands Anniversary Scholars (Education) – Two scholarships will be awarded.  The amount available is £2,000 for each year of study up to three years.  This money will be awarded as a reduction in fees and is intended to help students with general living costs.

Southlands Anniversary Scholars (General) – Two scholarships will be awarded.  The amount available is £1,000 for each year of study up to three years.  This money will be awarded as a reduction in fees and is intended to help students with general living costs.

Bursaries

Two separate funds for bursaries are offered to students of University of Roehampton as part of the celebrations to mark the 150th anniversary of the founding of Southlands College. Applications for bursaries can be made at any point in the year, from the point of being enrolled on a programme. Money awarded as part of a bursary will be transferred to students in two parts. Initial payments will be made shortly after the panel decision to award, with the second payment being made four months later depending on circumstances.
