Applications are invited from two or more individual researchers wishing to conduct collaborative research projects across Methodist-related institutions in different regions for grants of up to $8,000 (USD).
Work should be focused on areas of research that align with the concerns and values articulated by IAMSCU in its public documentation, and aim especially:
- to explore critical questions of democracy and citizenship
- to ameliorate the most pressing issues of our time, such as environmental degradation, migration and human trafficking, conflict and social injustice
- to facilitate new ways of thinking and doing
- to promote peace and challenge intolerance
To be considered, applications should come from researchers working in or associated with Methodist-related Higher Education Institutions intending to work collaboratively with researchers from another Methodist-related institution, particularly with one in a different country. There is no restriction on geographical location and Methodist-related is defined as any institution founded in a Methodist or Wesleyan tradition and which sustains formal associations with such a denomination. Grants will be funded by IAMSCU and the Southlands Methodist Trust.
