They participated in a breakout session entitled ‘Shaping the Curriculum to Effect Student Engagement for Change’ at the SWF Conference ‘Transforming Lives’, 2023, alongside Dr Liz Bounds.

‘Enabling Transformational Change’ – Collaborative research by Dr Ayse Demir and workshops by Tumaini Women Kenya, supported by SMT.
‘Thinking Globally’ – Photography and documentary project exploring the effects of climate change in Dhaka, Bangladesh, by Ismar Uzeirovic, supported by SMT. Photo by Ismar Uzeirovic.
‘Amplifying Voices’ – Dr Jane Kingsley Smith researched the ‘blackness’ of Shakespeare’s sonnets and the identity of the ‘dark lady’. ‘Blak Mistrys’ is a dance film produced in collaboration, by Candace Scarborough. The collaborative project was supported by SMT.
‘Nurturing Rooted Communities’ – Southlands College’s Tazim Fatima from the Southlands College staff team presented the college Peace Pole Initiative at the Susanna Wesley Foundation Conference, 2024.
‘Promoting Wellbeing’ – Discussion during the Death, Dying and Afterlife workshop at the SWF Conference, 2024, facilitated by Dr Lia Shimada and based on SWF research by her.
‘Encouraging the Arts’ – Bill Crooks, live cartoonist who documented the day at
the SWF Conference, 2024.
‘Find out more’ – Southlands College Head Dr Christopher Stephens and SWF Director Sue Miller presenting research on chaplaincy in higher education at
World Methodist Conference, Sweden, 2024.
